Angel

Who is this being in light and life so golden?
When loss strikes me as their absence fills
A nod speaks such volumes to me, wordlessly
Of love unknown yet I know it I know it I crave it to death for it
No patina fills these
Copper eyes
Pure unadulterated
With a smile so slight
Tell me your name my dearest angel
Come back to me and tell me who we are
Celestial we, we made ourselves our gods
Yet we find ourselves sleeping awake
Did this beauty of love and loss taste these fruits?
Are they conscious of bodies and bodies eternity beckoning?
Are they conscious of these
Stasis dreams?
While the sun holds them
As dear as I
Tell me your name my dearest angel
Come back to me and tell me who we are
I beg of you my dearest angel
Come back to me and tell me who you are to me
This balcony sanctuary
Projection astral, part of me
The ruby fruit in emerald seas
Just out of reach, just as we
Universal indifference to me
To such tiny beings as we
Please just wake up and face me
I beg of you please
Angel
The sun kisses you in ways that I
Know were meant for me
I feel it in my
Being
I'll reach into the void to find you
Just to hold you, I
Just need you
Tell me your name my dearest angel
(Tell me your name, tell me your name)
Come back to me and tell me who we are
(Come back to me, come back to me)
I beg of you my dearest angel
(Tell me your name, tell me your name)
Come back to me and tell me who you are to me

Bowestone
06:14

A gentle wind portentous of what lies ahead
The ground below rumbling underneath
The clouds above darkening solemnity
What is to come stirring neath the breast
And stand we tall, surety a falsity
We see the smoke rising up to greet
This quiet soul darkened in these constancies
It cannot stand, but stand it will, the battle comes
Raise the banners
The call to arms
The skies have opened wide
Through them falling what I can’t feel
The thunder echoes, I
Break the dam and let this take me
In flashing iron, the red that spills and fills my eyes
The sound of hooves, it tells me of regret
What will they say, the poets that will speak of this
What do they know of burdens in these hearts
So callous we, in propaganda deep instilled
We stand up high, with trembling in our knees
These quiet souls darkened in these constancies
They cannot stand, but stand they will, the battle comes
Raise the banners
The call to arms
The skies have opened wide
Through them falling what I can’t feel
The thunder echoes, I
Break the dam and let this take me
The flash of iron
Ring in my head
These red soaked fields
It’s all I exist for
The weight of man
In fight of gods
Will they descend
By grace will they save us
They care not, they know not what we do
The words we were taught, blasphemy
But what other choice were we given
When stand gods of man in pulpits
Through tears we take
Deprive loved ones
When stand we tall
Each end part of ourselves
These fields silent
In wreckage divine
What have we done
What bowe stone do we deserve
They care not, they know not what we do
The words we were taught, blasphemy
When choice is removed from the hearts of man
We stand in the dust of our arrogance
The skies have opened wide
Through them falling what I can’t feel
The thunder echoes, I
Break the dam and let this take me
The skies have opened wide
Through them falling what I can’t feel
The thunder echoes, I
Break the dam and let this take me

Northward Journey
06:36
|
|
||
A sullen heart so deep instilled
Its iron wings left so to callous
Behind the bars of certainty
But what a fool am I
O’ what a fool could I be
Come yet the ground giving neath my feet
Leading pneuma to animus, the truth behold
So let this temple tremble
In this journey northward bound
Let Lethe absolve me in this cavalcade
O’ northward home
A call creeping in these bones
It reaches for the cold and the shadows
Some deity it calls me home
To heights above
Let me ascend
Come yet the ground giving neath my feet
Leading pneuma to animus, the truth behold
So let this temple tremble
In this journey northward bound
Let Lethe absolve me in this cavalcade
O’ northward home
Break free these bars come to hold me still
Descend upon me this deity, come free this soul
Let sing this heart again
To an earthen kingdom reign
These mountains northward calling, breathe again
O’ northward home
O’ what a fool am I
What a fool have I been
These bars before me
Built by hands of mine, delirious dreaming
O’ I see again the skies
The endless stretch of life before me
Raise my countenance aglow
And spread my wings
Come yet this northward soul
Endeavours lifted
Feel the cold that settles
This heart is home
This heart is home
So
Come we
Yet
Home
So
Come we
Yet
Home
So come we yet home
So come we yet home
Come yet the ground giving neath my feet
Leading pneuma to animus, the truth behold
So let this temple tremble
In this journey northward bound
Let Lethe absolve me in this cavalcade
O’ northward home
Break free these bars come to hold me still
Descend upon me this deity, come free this soul
Let sing this heart again
To an earthen kingdom reign
These mountains northward calling, breathe again
O’ northward home

Passage
04:03
|
|
||
Relentless
To see it all before you
Stretched as thin as it can be
When stand you in the centre
Holding still to embrace eternity
But what comes of holding still?
What good can say we in this?
Such tiny beings in omniscient strands
That carry us through in endless march
Inexorable, dishonourable,
These iron fists that stand no resistance
Unwitting in their strength
But oh…guiding us yet further on
Are they pawns as much as we?
The tesseract tumbles on and we
Stand in passage
And so stolen we continue
Efforts meaningless in lengths unknown
But once in a heartbeat we prevail
But for a moment
The skin stretched empty finds us
Eyes wide open to see
To feel
To embrace what feels stolen from us
Kept in this passage
Oh, reach beyond the shadows with me
Take my hand and step outside this
Oh, eternity can wait for one day
What loss would our absence be?
Oh, a step aside is all that we need
An endless night awaits us there
Oh, the passage will await our return
My dear…
